Description

Anthelcide EQ paste is a formulation containing 227 mg/g of oxibendazole, a broad-spectrum benzimidazole anthelmintic. Each syringe contains 24 g of paste.

Anthelcide EQ Paste Indications

For the treatment of parasitic infections caused by the adult stage of large strongyles (Strongylus vulgaris, S. edentatus, S. equinus, and Triodontophorus spp.), small strongyles (Cylicostephanus spp., Cylicocyclus spp., Cyanthostomum spp., Cylicodontophorus spp., and Gyalocephalus spp.), ascarids (Parascaris equorum), pinworms, including L4 larval stage (Oxyuris equi), and threadworms (Strongyloides westeri) in horses.

DOSAGE: Administer orally the equivalent of 10 mg (15 mg for threadworms) of oxibendazole, per kg (2.2 lb) body weight. Each mark on the syringe delivers enough paste to treat 45 kg (30 kg for threadworms). Horses maintained on premises where reinfection is likely to occur should be retreated in 6 to 8 weeks.
