For Use In Neonatal Pigs Only
Description
Each milliliter of Gentamicin Sulfate Pig Pump Oral Solution contains gentamicin sulfate, equivalent to 5 mg gentamicin.
Warning
For use in neonatal swine only. Pigs treated with the recommended dose of Gentamicin Sulfate Pig Pump Oral Solution must not be slaughtered for food at least 14 days following treatment.
AmTech Gentamicin Sulfate Pig Pump Oral Solution Indication
Gentamicin Sulfate Pig Pump Oral Solution is recommended for the control and treatment of colibacillosis in neonatal pigs 1-3 days of age, caused by strains of E. Coli sensitive to gentamicin.
AmTech Gentamicin Sulfate Pig Pump Oral Solution Dosage And Administration
Administer orally to baby pigs. Recommended dose is one full pump per pig one time at the first sign of disease. One pump delivers 1 mL of Gentamicin Sulfate Pig Pump Solution (5 mg gentamicin).
Directions For Use
Unlock pump with counterclockwise turn, and press plunger down two times to fill delivery unit. A separate extension tube is enclosed for administration convenience. Administer 1 full pump (plunger depression) directly into the mouth of each affected pig.
Contraindications
There are no known contraindications to this drug when used as directed.
Chemistry
Gentamicin is a mixture of aminoglycoside antibiotics derived from the fermentation of Micromonospora purpurea. Gentamicin sulfate is a mixture of sulfate salts of the antibiotics produced in this fermentation. The salts are weakly acidic and freely soluble in water. Gentamicin sulfate is stable in the subject solution under usual storage conditions for periods indicated by the expiration date.
How Supplied
Gentamicin Sulfate Pig Pump Oral Solution, 5 mg per mL is available in 118 mL (4 fl oz) bottles (approximately 118 doses) with pump applicator.
Store Between 2° And 30°c (36° And 86°f).
Destroy Partially Used Contents 90 Days After Opening.
