Activated Charcoal Gel With Electrolytes
This treatment applies to the following species:Suggested Use
This formulation supplies activated hardwood charcoal, attapulgite clay and certain electrolytes. May be used as an emergency first aid and/or adjunctive treatment for accidental poisoning in large and small animals from insecticides, organic chemicals, intestinal toxins and diarrhea.
Feeding Directions
Place the tube in a dosing gun and remove the cap. Hold the head of the animal in a slightly elevated position and place the nozzle on the back of the tongue. Administer the recommended amount slowly, allowing the animal time to swallow. A stomach tube should be used in animals that are unable to swallow.
Feeding Recommendations
Dogs & Cats: 1-3 cc per pound body weight.
Sheep & Goats: 1-3 cc per kg (2.2 lb.) body weight.
Adult Cattle & Horses: It is recommended to give one full tube (300ml). Repeat after 1 to 3 hours or as needed. A stomach tube should be used in animals which are unable to swallow.
