Acevet 5 Injectable Indications
- to Help Control Hyperexcitability, Vomiting, Licking And Scratching.
- As A Pre-anesthetic Agent In Major Or Minor Surgeries.
- As An Aid In Tranquilizing High-strung Bitches During Breeding.
administration And Dosage
For intramuscular, subcutaneous or slow intravenous administration. Allow at least 15 minutes for onset of action.
IV: 0.025 - 0.2 mg/kg body weight (0.005 - 0.04 mL/kg), maximum 3 mg (0.6 mL)
IM: 0.1 - 0.25 mg/kg body weight (0.02 - 0.05 mL/kg)
IV, IM or SC: 0.03 - 0.2 mg/kg body weight (0.006 - 0.04 mL/kg), maximum 3 mg (0.6 mL) IV
IV: 0.05 - 0.1 mg/kg body weight (0.01 - 0.02 mL/kg), maximum 1 mg (0.2 mL)
IV, IM, or SC: 0.1 mg/kg body weight (0.02 mL/kg)
Use lower doses and with more caution when administering to very young animals or animals suffering from hepatic dysfunction, cardiac disease or general debilitation, due to possible prolongation of effect.
Phenothiazine derivatives are contraindicated in animals being treated with organophosphates, succinylcholine or other cholinesterase inhibitors. Epinephrine is contraindicated in the treatment of acepromazine maleate overdose.
Because of its hypotensive effects, this drug is contraindicated in animals with hypovolemia or shock.
Keep out of reach of children.
Store between 15°C and 25°C.
