For the relief of nasal congestion in such conditions as the common cold, catarrh and hay fever. Acts by opening your nasal passages. Directions How to use: For intranasal use. While holding upright, the spray nozzle should be inserted into each nostril in turn and squeezed firmly twice while breathing in. How often to use: Adults and children aged 12 and over: The application may be repeated up to 2 times daily or used at bedtime to give relief through the night. Do not use in children under 12 years of age. Prolonged use is not recommended. If the symptoms persist consult your doctor. DO NOT USE IF: you suffer from porphyria, glaucoma, coronary heart disease, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid gland, diabetes - if you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (to treat depression) or are pregnant. INTERACTIONS: Consult your doctor before taking if you are taking other medicines. DO NOT EXCEED THE STATED DOSE Seek medical advice in the event of an overdose. Ingredients The nasal solution contains oxymetazoline 0.05% w/v. Also includes benzalkonium chloride, thiomersal, sodium chloride, menthol, eucalyptol, camphor, methyl salicylate, poloxamer 188, sodium citrate (dihydrate), citric acid anhydrous and purified water. Warnings KEEP OUT OF THE REACH AND SIGHT OF CHILDREN. SIDE EFFECTS: Prolonged use may result in rebound congestion and should therefore be avoided. Thiomersal may cause local skin reactions.
