For symptomatic relief of occasional
diarrhoea and upset stomachs.
Take the solution by mouth.
SHAKE THE BOTTLE.
Adults, the elderly and children over
12 years: Take 2 to 4 x 5ml spoonfuls.
Children 6-12 years: Take 1 or 2 x 5ml
spoonfuls.
Repeat the dose after 4 hours if required.
Do not give to children under 6 years old
unless your doctor tells you to.
If symptoms persist for more than 3 days
consult your doctor.

2. Possible side effects

Like all medicines, Kaolin Mixture can have side effects,

• Stomach cramps.
If you notice these or any other side effects, stop use and
tell your doctor or pharmacist. They will tell you what to
do.

If you accidentally take too much see a doctor straight
away. Take the pack with you to show which medicine you
have swallowed.
• Do not use after the expiry date. The expiry date refers to
the last day of that month.
• Return any unused medicine to the pharmacy for
disposal.
The active ingredients per 5ml are: light kaolin 1g,
sodium hydrogen carbonate 250mg.
The other ingredients are: light magnesium carbonate
(E504), peppermint oil, polysorbate 20 (E432), chloroform
and purified water.
What the medicine looks like
Kaolin Mixture is a buff coloured suspension, which
separates into a clear and solid layer on standing. It smells
of peppermint.
It is supplied in 200ml bottles.
