What is Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient? Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient is a bath or shower additive used to treat any condition in which dry skin is a feature such as eczema, ichthyosis (hereditary dry skin) and senile pruritus (itching that may occur in old age). It can be used instead of soap. The combination of oils is designed to relieve itching, to lubricate and soften the skin and form a film on the skin surface to reduce moisture loss. Warnings Do not use Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to light liquid paraffin, isopropyl myristate or any of the ingredients of Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient. Take care to avoid slipping in the bath or shower. Avoid contact with the eyes, in the event of accidental contact rinse well with water. How to use Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient For external use only. Only apply to the skin. Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient is particularly suitable for infants. Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient should always be either added to water or applied to wet skin. For use in the bath - Adults, children and the elderly: Add 1-3 capfuls to a 20 centimetre (8 inch) bath of water. Soak for 10-15 minutes. Infants: Add -2 capfuls to a small bath of water. For use in the shower - Pour a small quantity on to a wet sponge or flannel and rub on to wet skin. Rinse and pat dry. If you have been prescribed Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient by a doctor or nurse follow his/her instructions on use. Possible side effects No side effects of Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient have been reported. If you notice any side effects, consult your doctor, nurse or pharmacist.
