you or your child are taking….

• Medicines used to prevent blood clotting such
as warfarin, as the anti-clotting effects could
be increased by using Clove Oil.

• Apply a small amount to a cotton bud and
place directly on the affected tooth as required.
• Not recommended for children under 2 years old.

If you swallow some

Swallowing small amounts of Clove Oil once
applied to your tooth is unlikely to cause a
problem.
If you accidentally swallow liquid straight from
the bottle see a doctor straight away.
Take the pack with you to show which medicine
you have swallowed.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before
using this medicine if you are pregnant, might
be pregnant or are breastfeeding. Clove Oil
should not be used in pregnancy unless the
doctor has told you to do so.

• Keep it out of the sight and reach of children.
• Do not store above 25°C.
• Keep the bottle tightly closed and protected
from light.
• Do not use after the expiry date shown on the
carton. The expiry date refers to the last day
of that month.
• Medicine should not be disposed of via
wastewater or household waste. Ask your
pharmacist how to dispose of any unused
medicine. These measures will help to protect
the environment.

5. Storing this medicine

Like all medicines, Clove Oil can have side
effects, although these don’t affect everyone.
Side effects are:
• Temporary skin irritation.
• Dermatitis (skin rash, itching, flaking).
• Swelling of the lips.
• Blistering and swelling in the mouth.
• You may also become sensitive to Clove Oil.
