Blurred vision; minor stinging or tingling when the medicine is dropped into the eye.

Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur while taking tetrahydrozoline / zinc sulfate ophthalmic:

Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); changes in vision; eye pain; worsening or persistent eye irritation or redness.

Ocular

Ocular side effects have included temporary mydriasis, increased redness, and transient stinging after instillation. Other sympathomimetics have been associated with blurred vision, irritation, lacrimation, increased intraocular pressure, and punctate keratitis. Mydriasis, conjunctival hyperemia, and blepharoconjunctivitis have been reported with tetrahydrozoline.

Nervous system

Nervous system side effects associated with ocular sympathomimetic agents have included headache, tremor, trembling, dizziness, nervousness, and drowsiness.

Cardiovascular

Cardiovascular side effects associated with tetrahydrozoline have rarely included palpitations, hypertension, and bradycardia.
