Serious side effects of RiaSTAP

Along with its needed effects, fibrinogen (the active ingredient contained in RiaSTAP) may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Cardiovascular

Cardiovascular side effects have included thromboembolic episodes, including myocardial infarction, pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis, and arterial thrombosis.[Ref]

Hypersensitivity

Hypersensitivity side effects have included allergic-anaphylactic reactions (including rash and dyspnea).[Ref]

General

General side effects have included chills, fever, nausea, and vomiting.[Ref]
