Naftifine Cream

All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome when using Naftifine Cream:

Burning; dryness; mild itching; stinging.

Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using Naftifine Cream:

Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); blisters; irritation; redness; severe or persistent itching; swelling.

Side Effects by Body System - for Healthcare Professionals

Dermatologic

Dermatologic side effects have included burning/stinging (up to 6%), dryness (3%), erythema (up to 2%), itching (up to 2%), local irritation (2%), rash (0.5%), and skin tenderness (0.5%). Pruritus has been reported in greater than or equal to 1% of patients treated with the 2% cream formulation. Redness/irritation, burning, blisters, and crusting have been reported during postmarketing experience.

Other

Other side effects have included inflammation, maceration, swelling, and serous drainage during postmarketing experience.

Hematologic

Hematologic side effects have included leukopenia and agranulocytosis during postmarketing experience.

Nervous system

Nervous system side effects have included headache and dizziness during postmarketing experience.
