Applies to doxylamine: oral tablet, oral tablet chewable

Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction while taking doxylamine (the active ingredient contained in Medi-Sleep) hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:

• fast or uneven heart rate;

• confusion, hallucinations, unusual thoughts or behavior;

• severe dizziness, anxiety, restless feeling, or nervousness;

• easy bruising or bleeding, unusual weakness, fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms; or

• urinating less than usual or not at all.

Less serious side effects of doxylamine may include:

• blurred vision;

• dry mouth;

• nausea, stomach pain, constipation;

• dizziness, drowsiness;

• problems with memory or concentration;

• ringing in your ears; or

• feeling restless or excited (especially in children).
