Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction while taking docusate / ferrous fumarate: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Call your doctor if you have serious side effects such as:

• bright red blood in your stools;

• severe stomach pain and vomiting;

• a sudden change in your bowel movements; or

• pain in your chest or throat when swallowing a docusate and ferrous fumarate tablet.

Less serious side effects of docusate / ferrous fumarate may include:

• unpleasant taste in your mouth;

• constipation, diarrhea;

• nausea, vomiting, stomach pain or upset; or

• black or dark-colored stools or urine.
