Bidex-A Extended-Release Tablets

All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome when using Bidex-A Extended-Release Tablets:

Dizziness; drowsiness; stomach upset.

Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using Bidex-A Extended-Release Tablets:

Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue).

Side Effects by Body System

General

Guaifenesin has been generally well tolerated.

Gastrointestinal

Gastrointestinal side effects have included stomach upset and vomiting with higher than recommended doses. Doses recommended for expectoration have rarely been associated with gastrointestinal upset.

Nervous system

Nervous system side effects have occasionally included dizziness and headache.

Dermatologic

Dermatologic side effects have included rare reports of rash.
