Side Effects of Adacel - for the Consumer
Adacel
All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome when using Adacel:
Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using Adacel:Diarrhea; headache; mild fever or chills; minor joint pain or swelling; minor muscle ache or weakness; minor pain, swelling, or redness at the injection site; nausea; tiredness; vomiting.
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); blistering or sores at the injection site; fainting; muscle spasms; numbness or tingling of the arms or legs; seizure; severe or persistent diarrhea or vomiting; severe or persistent fever, chills, or dizziness; severe or persistent joint pain or swelling; severe or persistent muscle weakness; swollen lymph nodes.
