Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction while taking acetic acid / hydrocortisone otic: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Other less serious side effects are more likely to occur, such as:

mild stinging, itching, burning, or irritation in the ear;

loss of appetite;

weight loss (especially in a child); or
-
weakness.
