Vecuronium Pregnancy and Breastfeeding Warnings

Vecuronium is also known as: Norcuron

Overview

If you become pregnant, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using Vecuronium during pregnancy. It is unknown if Vecuronium is excreted in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you are using Vecuronium, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.

Vecuronium Pregnancy Warnings

Vecuronium has been assigned to pregnancy category C by the FDA. Animal studies have not been reported. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. Vecuronium should only be given during pregnancy when the potential benefits outweigh the potential risks.

Vecuronium Breastfeeding Warnings

There are no data on the excretion of vecuronium into human milk. Because many drugs are excreted in human milk, caution should be exercised when vecuronium is administered to a nursing woman.
