If you become pregnant while taking Psyllium , discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using Psyllium during pregnancy. It is unknown if Psyllium is excreted in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you are using Psyllium , check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
Psyllium Pregnancy Warnings
Psyllium has not been formally assigned to a pregnancy category by the FDA. Animal studies have not been reported. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. Psyllium should be given during pregnancy only when need has been clearly established.
Psyllium Lactation Warnings
There are no data on the excretion of psyllium into human milk.
