It is not known if Nabilone can cause harm to the fetus. If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Nabilone while you are pregnant. It is not known if Nabilone is found in breast milk. Do not breast-feed while taking Nabilone .
Nabilone Pregnancy Warnings
Nabilone has been assigned to pregnancy category C by the FDA. Animal studies have revealed evidence of decreased fetal weights, increased fetal mortality, pregnancy disruptions, and early resorptions. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. Nabilone should only be given during pregnancy when the potential benefits outweigh the potential risks.
Nabilone Lactation Warnings
There are no data on the excretion of nabilone into human milk. Because many drugs including some cannabinoids are excreted in breast milk, it is not recommended that nabilone be given to nursing mothers.
