Hyaluronan Pregnancy and Breastfeeding Warnings

Hyaluronan is also known as: Orthovisc

Overview

If you become pregnant while taking Hyaluronan, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using Hyaluronan during pregnancy. It is unknown if Hyaluronan is excreted in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you are using Hyaluronan, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.

Hyaluronan Pregnancy Warnings

Hyaluronan has not been formally assigned to a pregnancy category by the FDA. Animal studies have not been reported. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy.

Hyaluronan Breastfeeding Warnings

There are no data on the excretion of hyaluronan into human milk.
