Esterified estrogens-methyltestosterone has been assigned to pregnancy category X by the FDA. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. Esterified estrogens-methyltestosterone is contraindicated during pregnancy.
Esterified estrogens / methyltestosterone Breastfeeding Warnings
Limited data are available on the excretion of esterified estrogens into human milk. Estrogen has been shown to decrease the quantity and quality of the milk. There are no data on the excretion of methyltestosterone into human milk. The manufacturer recommends that due to the potential for serious adverse reactions in nursing infants, a decision should be made to discontinue nursing or discontinue the drug, taking into account the importance of the drug to the mother.
