It is unknown if Ephedrine Capsules can cause harm to the fetus. If you become pregnant while taking Ephedrine Capsules, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using Ephedrine Capsules during pregnancy. It is unknown if Ephedrine Capsules is excreted in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you are using Ephedrine Capsules, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.

Ephedrine Pregnancy Warnings

Ephedrine has been assigned to pregnancy category C by the FDA. Animal studies have not been reported. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. Ephedrine is only recommended for use during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk. In addition, the manufacturer recommends ephedrine for use during pregnancy only if clearly indicated.

Ephedrine Lactation Warnings

Ephedrine is excreted into human milk. Breast-feeding is considered to be contraindicated by the manufacturer.
