It is unknown if Carbinoxamine Maleate Extended-Release Capsules can cause harm to the fetus. If you become pregnant while taking Carbinoxamine Maleate Extended-Release Capsules, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using Carbinoxamine Maleate Extended-Release Capsules during pregnancy. It is unknown if Carbinoxamine Maleate Extended-Release Capsules are excreted in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you are using Carbinoxamine Maleate Extended-Release Capsules, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.

Carbinoxamine Pregnancy Warnings

Carbinoxamine has been assigned to pregnancy category C by the FDA. Animal studies have not been reported. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. Carbinoxamine is only recommended for use during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk.

Carbinoxamine Breastfeeding Warnings

There are no data on the excretion of carbinoxamine into human milk. The manufacturer recommends that caution be used when administering carbinoxamine to nursing women.
