If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using AbobotulinumtoxinA while you are pregnant. It is not known if AbobotulinumtoxinA is found in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you use AbobotulinumtoxinA, check with your doctor. Discuss any possible risks to your baby.

OnabotulinumtoxinA has been assigned to pregnancy category C by the FDA. Animal studies have revealed evidence of maternal toxicity, abortions, and/or fetal malformations at high doses. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. OnabotulinumtoxinA is only recommended for use during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk.

There are no data on the excretion of onabotulinumtoxinA into human milk. The manufacturer recommends that caution be used when administering onabotulinumtoxinA to nursing women.
