Yocon is used in the treatment of male impotence. The drug is thought to work by stimulating the release of norepinephrine, one of the body's natural chemical regulators. This results in increased blood flow to the penis.

How should you take Yohimex?
Take Yohimex exactly as prescribed.
- If you miss a dose...
Take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the one you missed and go back to your regular schedule. Never take 2 doses at the same time.
- Storage instructions...
Keep Yohimex in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of the reach of children. Store it at room temperature, away from moist places and direct light.
What side effects may occur?
Side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, inform your doctor as soon as possible. Only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking Yocon.
- Side effects may include:
Decreased urination, dizziness, flushing, headache, increase in blood pressure, increased heart rate, increased motor activity, irritability, nausea, nervousness, tremor
Why should Yohimex not be prescribed?
Yocon should not be used if you have kidney disease or if you are sensitive to or have ever had an allergic reaction to yohimbine. Make sure your doctor is aware of any drug reactions you have experienced.
Special warnings about Yohimex
Yocon is generally not recommended for use by children, the elderly, or men with heart and kidney disease who also have a history of stomach or duodenal ulcer. The drug is also not recommended for men being treated for a psychiatric disorder.
Possible food and drug interactions when taking Yohimex
It is important that you consult with your doctor before taking Yocon with drugs for depression or other drugs that change mood.
Special information if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
Yocon is not recommended for use in women generally and certainly must not be used during pregnancy.
Recommended dosage for Yohimex
ADULTS
Dosages of Yohimex are based on experimental research in the treatment of male impotence.
This dosage is one 5.4-milligram tablet, 3 times a day.
If you experience nausea, dizziness, or nervousness, your doctor will reduce the dose to one-half tablet 3 times a day, and then increase it gradually back up to 1 tablet 3 times a day.
CHILDREN
This drug is not for use in children.
OLDER ADULTS
This drug should not be used by older men.
Overdosage
Any medication taken in excess can cause symptoms of overdose. If you suspect an overdose, seek medical attention immediately. No specific symptoms of Yocon overdose have been reported.
