Valeant Pharmaceuticals Divests Argentina
ALISO VIEJO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jun 10, 2008 - Valeant Pharmaceuticals International (NYSE:VRX) announced today that it has divested its Argentina commercial operations to one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in Argentina. Financial terms were not disclosed."One of our strategic initiatives for 2008 is to divest certain regions and simplify our operations," said J. Michael Pearson, chairman and chief executive officer. "The sale of our business in Argentina is another important step forward in executing on our strategy."
