ResearchPoint Global Announces Addition of M2S to Network

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan 8, 2008 - ResearchPoint Global (RPG), a joint-venture, full-service, CRO serving the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries, announces the addition of M2S, a leader in core medical imaging and data management services, as its newest member.

RPG's strong reputation for quality, streamlined processes, and provision of innovative, cost-effective solutions for clients are augmented by M2S' proprietary technology and web-based communication tools. M2S brings comprehensive image management and a team of medical imaging experts, enhancing RPG's service offerings. RPG manages and coordinates all projects utilizing standardized global SOPs to ensure the highest quality, compliance, and regulatory acceptance.

M2S complements the RPG philosophy of senior management involvement, customer focus, and a metrics-driven approach. RPG can now utilize imaging services to develop creative strategies and approaches that reduce time and costs associated with the management of clinical trial programs. From simple X-rays to sophisticated PET scans, medical images provide views inside the body that often serve as surrogates for clinical outcome and provide insight into disease prognosis and drug efficacy much sooner than clinical evaluations alone. They also eliminate much of the subjectivity of clinical evaluations alone, thus saving significant time and money for drug developers while also adding confidence to their decision making.

President and CEO of ResearchPoint and founding partner of RPG, John Farinacci notes, "We are pleased to now offer our clients comprehensive imaging services to support their clinical trial objectives. The collaboration with M2S and the imaging capabilities they offer creates seamless delivery between clinical monitoring and imaging management activities. RPG will now be able to collect, manage image data, and support independent reviews, whether centralized, remote, regional or global. Imaging services will reside at each of global locations to ensure security and real-time monitoring."

M2S's CEO, Wes Chapman, said, "We're pleased to be a part of the RPG network. RPG delivers the highest standard of quality in customer service while continually seeking innovative and cost-effective solutions to their clients' needs. This new partnership will allow clinical investigators working on a global level to focus more freely on what they do best, rather than on the art, science, and logistics of core lab image processing and management - which is what we do best."
