Pharmapalooza 2 Keeps the Beat Going Strong for Children's Health
Cline, Davis and Mann Hosts Benefit Concert for the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM)
NEW YORK, September 17, 2009 -- Cline, Davis and Mann (CDM) has announced that it will be taking its support for the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) to the stage once again on November 5, 2009 for Pharmapalooza 2—the second healthcare agency “battle of the bands” benefit concert. The event will take place at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in Manhattan’s Times Square.
Conceived and organized by CDM, a leading healthcare communications company, Pharmapalooza arose out of the agency’s commitment to supporting CHAM, the world-renowned pediatric hospital in the Bronx. The original Pharmapalooza, held in 2007, raised over $110,000 for CHAM and featured bands from the healthcare advertising community, performing for a sold-out crowd of 750 industry colleagues and supporters.
Pharmapalooza 2 hopes to provide the same sort of rock-solid support for CHAM.
“We are proud to partner with CHAM because it’s, quite simply, an amazing, world-class institution that delivers exceptional care,” said Ed Wise, Chairman and CEO of CDM. “Its focus on children’s health makes the partnership even more meaningful. By supporting CHAM, we know that kids in the community—some who are in desperate need—are getting first-rate care.”
CHAM is a leading institution that has established Centers of Excellence in many areas critical to pediatric health, such as childhood cancers and blood disorders, cranial/facial procedures, and specialties such as neurology, epilepsy, and autism. Moreover, CHAM provides this high-quality care to children without any regard to financial barriers, treating any child in the Bronx regardless of ability to pay or insurance status.
The event will be held at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill at 237 West 42nd Street in Manhattan. Doors open at 7 pm and the show begins at 8 pm. All net proceeds from Pharmapalooza 2 will benefit CHAM.
