Digitas Health Appoints SVP of Social Strategy
DIGITAS HEALTH PIVOTS FROM SOCIAL MEDIA TO SOCIAL BRANDING WITH APPOINTMENT OF MICHAEL LEIS AS
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF SOCIAL STRATEGY
PHILADELPHIA – December 17, 2013 – Digitas Health, the leading digitally native brand agency for the new era of healthcare marketing, announced today that it has appointed Michael Leis as Senior Vice President of Social Strategy, Leis will focus on helping Digitas Health clients develop true customer inspired brands by moving social strategy to the heart of brand strategy.

Leis joins Digitas Health from Draft/FCB in Chicago where he led social strategy for Taco Bell, Discover Card, Cox Communications, and Sony, among others. “I joined Digitas Health because they are at the forefront of the customer centric transformation taking place in healthcare marketing,” says Leis. “Digitas Health also leads the industry in understanding the regulatory issues around digital, social and mobile, so there is no better time or place for social strategy innovation healthcare.”
In his new role, Leis will report to SVP, Emerging Channels and Technology, Brendan Gallagher who also oversees the mobile and UX capabilities for Digitas Health globally. A graduate of Temple University, Leis recently relocated to his native Philadelphia with his wife and two sons.
From his base at Digitas Health’s Philadelphia headquarters, Lies will also support client social strategies across the Digitas Health network, including Digitas Health New York and Digitas Health London.
