Acquisition Adds Significant Advisory Services and Training Solutions to Decision Resources Group's Market Access Business Unit

OLIVE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apr 17, 2012 - Decision Resources Group, one of the world's leading research and advisory firms focusing on healthcare insights and analysis, announced today that it acquired Pinsonault, a leading provider in offering managed markets-specific business and training solutions to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. The acquisition of Mt. Olive, NJ-based Pinsonault by Burlington, Mass.-based Decision Resources Group will result in a significant expansion of Decision Resources Group's Market Access Business Unit which currently includes Fingertip Formulary, HealthLeaders-InterStudy and PharmaStrat.
Jim Lang, who was appointed President of the Market Access Business Unit at Decision Resources Group in January of 2012, will head up the integration of the Pinsonault brand. Mr. Lang was the President of IHS Cambridge Energy Research Associates (IHS CERA), a recognized leader in energy industry subscription information products, advisory services and events. Prior to IHS CERA, he was President of Strategic Decisions Group (SDG), a leading global strategy consultancy, spending 17 years advising a wide range of Global 1000 companies. After a successful management buyout in 2000, Jim led the firm through solid growth and a successful restructurings/sale in 2006 when SDG's largest Life Sciences practice was sold to IMS Health. Most recently, Mr. Lang has been an active private investor and advisor, providing seed and growth capital to a dozen companies in the healthcare, clean tech and business services space, and serving on a number of boards.
