AstraZeneca to Recruit 100 Empoyees in Swedish R&D Push
From M2 Pharma (March 31, 2011)
31 March 2011 - Anglo-Swedish pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca
plc (LON: AZN, STO: AZN) will start next month a campaign to
recruit over 100 employees for its expanding research and
development facility in Molndal, western Sweden, spokeswoman
Ann-Leena Mikiver told yesterday local daily Molndals-Posten.
The campaign will continue through April and May and will end only
after the right people have been found.
The company is looking for specialists, mainly chemical engineers and people with biopharma education, across the whole Nordic region and also in Germany and the Netherlands.
A year ago, AstraZeneca unveiled plans to close its facility in Lund, southern Sweden, in late 2011 in a move to consolidate early-stage research within the respiratory and inflammation area in Molndal. As a result, 150-200 employees will move to Molndal from Lund.
