Social media has become a part of daily life both in the business and consumer worlds, and now Ceiba Solutions has launched a Windows Phone 8 application of iSwarm’s cloud-based social monitoring platform to help users filter their online communication. Company executives say that iSwarm Windows Phone 8 app provides users with a powerful, centralized, and easy-to-use app for monitoring a specified online presence. In addition, iSwarm has a pharma client that is using the technology and is working with another pharmaceutical company.
Tom Wondra, business unit leader, iSwarm told Med Ad News Daily, “Overall, the social media world has opened up huge challenges for pharma companies. They need to monitor the things that are communicated on their social media properties to ensure that they are staying on top of their responsibilities from a compliance perspective. We also think it is critical that individuals and companies develop a culture sensitivity that embraces social media. iSwarm is a good way to get started on the road to understanding and getting the most from social media.”
According to Ceiba Solutions and iSwarm executives, the app searches across all social channels, including app stores, cutting through social media chatter. User-generated watch lists allow iSwarm users to filter and receive desired content that resonates with the user. iSwarm is a streamlined alternative to sifting through lengthy network-specific searches.
“Social media has become a part of people’s lives in ways that were unimaginable just a few years ago,” said Warren Casey, CEO, Ceiba Solutions. “Following the things that interest us in work and play is part of the modern lifestyle. The iSwarm Windows Phone 8 app is designed to give enthusiasts from the corporate executive to the aspiring student a shortcut to discover conversations that have real meaning.”
The app monitors not only the usual social channels – Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and YouTube– but also RSS feeds and application reviews found in the iTunes App Store and Google Play. The app can also be customized to incorporate internal and secured social channels.
“iSwarm is going to help people stay on offense in the world of social media,” Wondra told Med Ad News Daily. “Users will be able to cut through the noise and monitor what matters and this is important from both a time and strategic point of view. Over time, this strategic viewing of social media will help people become more sophisticated users and consumers of social media.”
