Codeine (codine) is sometimes marketed in combination preparations with other pain killing medicines such as acetaminophen or aspirin or with NSAID's (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) such as ibuprofen. These combinations provide greater pain relief than either agent alone (drug synergy).
