Pain patient,going off 120 mgs of morphine

Been on morphine sulphate er 120 mgs for pain for over ten years. Lost health coverage and must try to get off. Does the length of usage make the detox process harder. The Dr. said it will take 3 weeks. Is that realistic? Also I am worried about the ammount of pain I will be subjected too. I am really scared. Can you shed some light on when the pain will start,and how long it will take to feel normal after the suboxine is out of my system? Thanks Robert
