    Default Yellow ABG and 40

I have a yellow orangish small round pill that says 40 on one side and on the other side it says ABG. A friend of mine says that it is a generic form of an ocycontin 40mg. It does look like an oxycontin but the only difference is that it says ABG instead of OC. Can anyone hellp?

I just got one too that has the 40 ABG. I was told they think a new company is now making them. I don't think they are generic, because any generic I've seen look a little different, these look exactly the same. But I have done plenty of oxy's in my life, and trust me, I am 100% positive they are real.

the other day my friend got the 40 abgs and this forum helped ensure me that they were the real deal. today, my friends mom got her oc's filled and went through hell with her insurance because of the generic out now but none of the pharmacies around here carry them yet. it turns out we found one about 20 miles away. its just strange.. within 3 days hearing of these abg things that were never around before!!!

DON"T worry about the ABG 40MG Oxy pills. They are very real and for those who take these pills treat them just as the originals from Pharma. This version was offered outside the US before being available here. I got some of these ABG 40MG from South America a few years back and just in the last month they have turned up in the US. The Generic 80MG pills are super funky they foam up so they cannot be abused. The New Generic 40MG are also super funky. They are 4 times the size of a regular 40mg Oxy and are a very light yellow/pale in color are very hard and taste nasty. I do not believe they have a time release coating. The time release agent is mixed in with the Oxy and so chewing or breaking these will do you no good. Pharmacies will give you Generics if you are using insurance unless the doctor writes out on the script that the drug must be non generic, In many cases that will still not assure originals. The pharmacy may demand that your doctor call your insuranse and have them OK the more expensive originals. Hopefully with the ABGs around many will get those instead of the big generic ones. Look for generic 20 mg soon. 160 as I understand has long been discontinued. PS IVAX is the company that makes the ABG 40MG oxy pills or at least distribute them. They are manufactured outside the US by some other company.

I just got some that say ABG 40's for the first time, and yeah they are real. It is just another company making them for cheaper. So if you get an ABG form of oxy's, They are same exact formula, but if you are paying the same price for them, your ass is gettin robbed, they are about half 2/3 cost..

When I paid for the generic abg 40mg oxycontin it was only $7.00 cheaper! I hope it does go down because I do not have insurance. I tend to use two of the 10mg hydrocodone as long as I can bear the pain, because they are so much cheaper! Iknow it is not the same dosage equivalent but at least I can take two every 4-6 hours if need be. The oxy's usually only lasted for about 6 hours for me.
