Default white M 231 pill

Found a pill that is small, white and round. On the front it reads, "M" and on the back it says 231. Does anyone have any ideas as to what this is? Thanks for your help.

M 231 is 50 mg atenolol, a beta-blocker used to control high blood pressure.
