Hi! Tylox capsules (Ortho-McNeill) are in the same drug family as Percocet tablets (Endo Pharmaceuticals), but there are differences in the relative strengths of the two active ingredients (oxycodone and acetaminophen).

TYLOX contains 5 mg oxycodone hydrochloride (equivalent to 4.4815 mg oxycodone) to 500 mg acetaminophen (5/500).

As of 1999, PERCOCET was offering a range of 4 formulations, to provide doctors with flexibility in prescribing.

The original Percocet tablet contains 5 mg oxycodone hydrochloride (HCl) to 325 mg acetaminophen (5/325).

Other Percocet combinations are: 2.5/325; 7.5/500; 10/650.

Hope this helps...
