what does this drug do? especially if you are not prescribed for it...

Trazodone is an antidepressant used for the treatment of depression, and prescribed off-label in the treatment of neurogenic pain, aggressive behavior, panic disorder, and cocaine withdrawal.

It has no recreational value.
