we are trying to identify a white oval tablet with 72 14 one ons side and 9 3 on the other.

This is
Metformin
1000mgs, a generic for the diabetes drug
Glucophage
. It helps to lower and control blood sugar, very dangerous to take though, if you are not a diabetic.
