Round Pill-No Mark-Yellow-Anzal SR-1

My friend has a sealed foil package of 10 sunset yellow pills marked as Anzal SR-1. They are marked as 1MG Alprazolam tablets manufactured by Metro Pharmaceuticals in India under license # 1451-OSP. They are round and have no markings other than a basic indented line accross each one.

They appear to be extended release Alprazolam he brought back from India, but I can't find any information on them. Are they safe or FDA approved? The package appears professionally manufactured.

Foreign pill imprints are very hard to ID, most are not in our databases. I've never heard of this one or even Metro Pharmaceuticals. I wouldn't expect they'd be approved by the FDA, as to being safe, probably, but who knows?

Can you upload an image of Anzal SR-1 for us to check out?

Hello round pill, no mark with the name Anzal.
I just found your e-mail, it is still up. I was looking up the exact same thing and found out that Anzal is another name for Zanaz, the anti-anxiety drug. Another name for it is alprazolam. Go to rxlist.com and you will find more information about this drug.
