red gelcap round on one side, pointed on other.

My friend's mother found a gelcap in her son's room and I was asked to help ID it.

I have not seen the pill, but the information I have is that it is a red gelcap (didnt notice any writing on it, but it might have been there). It was oddly shaped. It was round on one side, and pointed on the other. Described as resembling a small christmas tree light bulb.

I know this is vague, but any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like it could be an Ecstacy pill. Because those pills have odd shapes and intricit designs on them. But go here..

There is a list of the pills or medications that might match your description. Your description is very short but I think that it could possibly be Ecstasy.

But if it is, please tell your friend's mother to don't put him in the dog house. Tell her to confront him and ask him why. In a low soft voice. And tell him all the reasons that any pill can be dangerous. Especially Ecstacy. Just don't be rational. And let him tell you. If he doesn't ask him where it could of come from then. And follow the questions and awnsers.

I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that it's Ecstasy or even hint at it, there simply is not enough information to even suggest it.
The OP said size of an xmas bulb, not an xmas tree on it.
There is no way to say what it is with out a marking.
