    Default Purple Capsule Generic Vicodin?

I have a purple capsule that was given to me by a friend after I was hit in the face and had some minor pain, not enough to go to the doctors. He told me it was a generic vicodin, but I have never heard/seen this kind before and don't want to take it without fully knowing what it is. It has no imprint on it. I have searched the web and can't find anything like it. Anyone have a clue as to what it could be. Thanks!

The capsule is not Vicodin or any generic hydrocodone/APAP combo.

All US prescription, OTC and homeopathic meds are required by law to have a unique imprint so that the meds can be identified.

Yeah, when I questioned him on the color/capsule, he said oh it's generic. I have taken vicodin/hydrocodone before, and have always had white pills. I am going to throw it away, as it seems nobody knows what it is. I am curious to know what the heck he gave me though!
