I have a pill that is purple round and has 30 on one side and a M thats in a square on the other side. I was told that it is the same thing as oxycontin is this true, is this pill just like oxy and if not what is it... THANK YOU!!

OK.. I found out its morphine sulfate.... and I want to know how it compares to oxycontin is it stronger or weaker? and is it basicaly the same thing?

It depends on what strength OC you're comparing it too, but generally Oxycontin is stronger and longer lasting.

What type of painkiller would this compare to? would it be kind of = to codiene? or is it stronger than that? Im just trying to see how stronge these are so I dont get sick

Morphine is roughly 10 times stronger then codeine mg/mg, your 30mg pill is roughly equal to 3 10mg Vicodin pills, btw OC is around 17x then codeine mg/mg plus it lasts 8-12 hours, I'm not sure about the MS but it's not near as long.

Morphine Sulphate has an "average" duration of 5 hrs (4-6 typical). The equivalancy of 30 mg morphine sulfate is roughly : 300 mg of codeine, 48 mg of hydrocodone, and 18 mg of Oxycodone.

Im not sure I really understand it, but are u saying it would be almost like taking one 20mg oxycontin? Im just worried that its way to strong and I could OD if I were to take this.

Yes, close to a 20mg OC or 5 hydrocodone's, if you have to take it, consider cutting it in half.

Isnt it time release? SO it would be safe to cut this pill in half, that wouldnt release everything at once and kill me right? Thank you so much!
