pill indetification please: white capsule imprint "a | 188"

i just found a couple of these in my medicine cabinet

capsule shaped, normal size, one side is blank with no middle score mark, other side is a kind of stylized lowercase a, the middle score mark, and then 188.

thanks for your time, i have looked through 3 databases and i couldn't find any info on this pill.

also, what is the company that makes pills marked with a lowercare stylized "a"?
