    found a dark red capsule has a M on one side the numbers 4357.

    Looks like generic Vicodin ES (extra-strength?).
    Trade Name: Hydrocodone-APAP
    Generic Name: Acetaminophen w/ Hydrocodone Cap 500-5 MG
    Manufacturer: MALLINCKRODT PHARM
    Imprint 1 M, Imprint 2 4357
    Maroon, Oblong

    could this also possibly be tylox? I know it's all in same family of drugs.

    Close, but Tylox is an OXYCODONE/acetaminophen combination (see Ortho-McNeill.com). Vicodin and the generic version you have are HYDROCODONE/acetaminophen combos. This puts Tylox closer to Oxycontin.
