Is Darvon a stronger pain reliever than oxycodone or hydrocodone? My friend says it is but, I don't believe him.

The only thing Darvon is stronger than is acetaminophen, and even that it is in question! The FDA agrees Darvocet is no more effective for pain then Tylenol alone, and wants it phased out.

Propoxyphene (Darvon) is 1/40th the strength of morphine, hydrocodone is .6 times as strong as morphine and oxycodone is roughly 1.75 times stronger then morphine. Codeine is weak as hell and is 4 times stronger then propoxyphene.
