I found these purple pills 30 on one side an M in a square on the other. Please tell me what they are.

The pills you have found are Morphine Sulfate Extended-Release 30 mg (generic for MS Contin) by Mallinckrodt.
Description: Round, Purple Convex Tablet
Identification Code: One side debossed Boxed M and the other side debossed "30"
