GET HELP NOW - CALL 911, YOUR DOCTOR OR POISON CONTROL.

If you think you have a poisoning emergency, call 911.

If you are not sure it's urgent but need an answer now, call your doctor or call poison control at 1-800-222-1222. DO NOT post a question and wait for an answer.

The hospital or poison control will be able to identify the pill.

again, the kid is at the hospital and its being taken care of. But they said they dont really have a way to identify the pill right away, they say it takes a few days sometimes. but we need to know not because of tonight but to make sure this never happens again. and find out where these came from. its a very weird scary situation, we need someones help right now.

    It's generic oxycodone (Impax Laboratories)
    20 mg controlled release

I don't see how a pharmacist/hospital wasn't able to help you. I found this on Google in a couple seconds.

    Exactly.

Obviously there is more to this than is apparent.

If the child is in the hospital, he/she is in safe hands, and the hospital (with poison control's help) knows what the pill is and knows how to treat the child.

Yah they did figure it out the next day. It was a close call. Very scary.
