Default Is this Oxycontin? Yellow/white capsules.

I found a bottle with a few capsules in my son's car and would like help identifying them. They are small white and yellow capsules Ethex on the yellow end and 041 on the white end. A neighbor suggested they were Oxycontin 5mg IR. Can anybody verify this for me, please. I am very worried about my son's involvement with drugs, and need to know if he's using narcotics. Thank you in advance for any information you may provide.

Your neighbor is mostly correct. The capsule is 5 mg immediate-release oxycodone (generic Roxicodone).

It's not generic OxyContin since OxyContin is extended-release oxycodone.
