Question New Metoprolol from Sandoz? Just checking

I got a new refill the other day from my pharmacist and I notice right away that this looks different then anything I have used before. I called my pharmacist about and confirmed but I also tried find it on the Pill-finder but could not find a match.

It is 200 mg, oval but a more rounded oval than I am used to. It also I guess flatter and has a bigger diameter too.

The marking on it is slanted E284.

If someone could help me confirm this it would be very much appreciated and ease my anxious mind.

Are all generics basically the same and safe?
